Mount Horeb Parks and Forestry Department

The Mount Horeb Parks and Forestry Department is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Village’s sixteen parks, the Family Aquatic Center and the Mount Horeb Station which is the support building for the Military Ridge Trail.  The Department also manages and maintains all public-owned trees along the Village’s streets and in Village parks.

Mount Horeb’s Park System includes a full range of developed facilities including neighborhood parks, community parks, and special use areas located throughout the community.  Parks and open space provide a number of key functions including meeting residents’ needs for recreation and aesthetics, protecting and enhancing the natural environment, shaping the extent and patterns of development and enhancing the quality of life for all residents.
