Notice to All Mount Horeb Water Utility Customers
The Mount Horeb Water Utility will begin its fall Hydrant Flushing on October 4th through October 22nd. Should your water become discolored, let your tap run for approximately 5 to 10 minutes and it should clear up. Try to do your laundry in the evening hours if possible. The water utility thanks you for your cooperation in this matter.

Saturday, September 18 from 8am – Noon. Bulk trash items will be collected at the Village Garage, 301 Blue Mounds Street.
Car or SUV: $10
Pickup truck or van: $20
Single axle trailer: $20
Double axle trailer: $40
No businesses, contractors or commercial vehicles (U-Haul, etc) will be allowed to drop off items.
Event is for bulk items that do not fit inside your garbage cart. This includes couches, chairs, household furniture and carpeting. No large auto parts, tires, hazardous items, solid or liquid waste including paint, pesticides, motor oil, solvents or explosive items, appliances, electronics, large amounts of construction material, or any yard waste will be allowed.
The ELECTRONICS RECYCLING EVENT will also take place on Saturday, September 18, at Sunrise Park, 110 Telemark Parkway, from 8am to Noon. Please review attached Electronics recycling flyer
for fees associated with these items.

News Release-Mount Horeb Utilities -DEADLINE EXTENDED
Mount Horeb Utilities Offers Grants for Local Organizations: Mount Horeb Utilities is again offering grants to local non-profit organizations. Three $500 grants are available in 2021 for any non-profit organization located in Mount Horeb that serves the Mount Horeb community at large. Applications are due September 30, 2021 and will be considered by the Mount Horeb Utilities Commission at their October and November meetings. Application forms are available at the utility office in the Municipal Building, 138 E Main St, or on the Mount Horeb Utilities website, mounthorebutilities.com.
