Mount Horeb Senior Center
The Mount Horeb Senior Center provides Case Management and nutrition services and resources for people 60+, to keep them living independently and safely in their own homes or apartments.
We serve seniors in the Villages of Mount Horeb and Blue Mounds, and the Towns of Blue Mounds, Perry, Primrose, and Springdale. We are one of 15 agencies under Dane County Human Services and the Area Agency on Aging. Our Board of Directors generally meet six times per year. Congregate and home delivered meals are served Monday through Friday at 11:15am. Reservations are needed by 1:00pm the day before the meal.
We offer blood pressure and foot clinics, supportive home chore services, immunization clinics, energy services, hearing evaluations, nutrition and wellness education, cards, musical entertainment, lunch outings, shopping trips, movies, darts, and a monthly newsletter.
SPECIAL NEWS & NOTES:
Satisfaction Survey: Share your experience! A random selection of older adults who receive Case Management Services are being asked to complete a satisfaction survey. Dane County Dept. of Human Services is collecting surveys. It will be emailed (10/25/21) and mailed on (11/5/21). If you get the the survey, please complete it. Your response is confidential and important!
MEDICARE D OPEN ENROLLMENT will run from October 15 through December 7, 2021. Seniors have the chance to review their Medicare D Prescription Drug Plan, check on the cost, to see if your medications are covered of if new medications are covered. Call the Mt. Horeb Senior Center to make an appointment with Mary Kay Sutter at 437-6902.
Transportation is provided by Care Van Services of Mount Horeb and RSVP Driver Escort service for seniors providing both local and trips to Madison. A donation is requested to RSVP of Dane County per ride received.
