Public Hearing on Amendments to Comprehensive Plan
Notice is hereby given that the Mount Horeb Village Board and Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 6 PM. Due to COVID-19, the meeting will be held both in-person and virtually via GoToMeeting (meeting details below). The public hearing will take place at a joint meeting of the Village Board and Plan Commission.

The public hearing will be held to gather public input on proposed amendments to the “Village of Mount Horeb Comprehensive Plan.” The Comprehensive Plan sets the policy for the growth, development, and preservation of the community. The proposed amendments would affect the Future Land Use Map (Maps 4a and 4b) of the Plan document. On the Future Land Use Map, the proposed amendments involve the following:
- Change the Future Land Use designation for three parcels at 418-426 West Main Street (parcel numbers: 060611422772, 060611422905, and 060611422941) from “Single-Family Residential (Sewered)” to “Planned Industrial.”
- Change the Future Land Use designation for one parcel at 102 Neshim Trail (parcel number: 060611424211) from “Multi-Family Residential” to “General Industrial.”
The Comprehensive Plan and the proposed amendments are available for review online at https://www.mounthorebwi.info/. Written comments on the proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Plan should be submitted before the public hearing date to the Village Clerk (Alyssa.Gaffney@mounthorebwi.info). All written comments will be forwarded to the Village Board and Plan Commission.
